Since New Zealand is a country that is open to foreign influence, team members have the wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of both young and old. We worked this past summer with four churches in three different cities during the two and a half weeks in New Zealand.
Bible Clubs
Getting the opportunity to run Bible clubs, very similar to Vacation Bible School in the States, is a blessing for every team member.
The three youth rallies were also a fun time for our team as they led games, skits, and songs. Each of the young men on our team had opportunities to preach not only for the teens but also for the adults in church services.
From teaching children in the Creche (nursery) to singing to the adults in church, everyone gets the opportunity to labor for the sake of the gospel on this New Zealand mission team. Some even have the opportunity to train teachers and church workers in seminars led by the team members.
goals for the trip
One of our goals for this trip is to partner with the staff and volunteers to spread the gospel and aid in discipleship. Part of this is accomplished by showing love to strangers in various ways.
Depending on the abilities that our team members bring each summer, we will be performing a variety of maintenance tasks.
